According to J.Crew, the inspiration for this dress came from underclothing worn in the Elizabethan period beneath gowns. We just think it’s really cute. An essential go-anywhere frock for the summer, you can’t help but feel just a little Roman Holiday wearing this.

We love the short brim hats that overflowed in Marc Jacobs’ recent Fall 2007 New York runway show. These cloche-eque toppers seem to bring the 1920’s into today, and anything that makes us look like we stepped out of The Great Gatsby is ok by us!
