J.Crew Veruschka dress
Retro, bold, sublime. Love it!

Today’s pick comes straight from New York’s Fashion Week, where right now designers are pouring out their Fall 08 lines.
Oscar de la Renta’s classic piece caught our eye, because, well, it’s just really pretty. This flattering retro cut is elegant and refined, simple but stunning. Doesn’t it just make you want to catch a cab to have some martinis with the gals at the plaza?

Seeing as the need for Resort 08 pieces is still with us during this brisk February, we wanted to put in a reminder of this cute little thing by Thai-born New York fashion designer, Thakoon Panichgul. As usual, Panichgul pulled out a minimalist’s dream. The attraction to the heartiness of the earthy olive tone mingled with delicate flowing fabric channeled the feeling of being the little sister of a band of brothers who does too wants to play in the dirt but still don a very pretty dress. The beige silky sleeves set against the stiffer military green fabric brings together a feeling of both strength and femininity: a combination with which any girl would profoundly agree!
