Summer is almost here (yay!) and rompers are definitely a cute way to go during the hot and steamy months. They offer the lightness of a mini dress with the comfort that your skirt won’t blow up for all the world to see.
Just make sure to stick with a flattering shape. Don’t go too tight, and be carefull with the strapless. It works, but only in very specific cases. And by all means, please don’t do velour. We’ve had enough with the velour. It happened 5 years ago. Let’s just let it go!
Anyways… here are some pieces to seek out, one by Malia Mills and another by Marc Jacobs. You can find both of these on shopbop.
This Fall, Alexander McQueen swoops us into fairytale-land. Eccentric witches, regal princesses, dejected peasants all paraded down the runway… looking as fabulous as can be of course. We’re pretty sure that, right now, Red doesn’t wear a couture riding hood, and that Alice didn’t go down the rabbit hole in silk taffeta. But, should they choose to, McQueen would their man.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Cinderella’s all set with her glass stilettos.
Check out some of the pieces we loved at McQueen’s RTW 2008 Fall show. To see the complete collection go here.

So, having been a ballet student for fourteen years out of my life, I naturally gravitated towards this new tidbit:Bloch—mega dancewear craftspeople since their first pointe shoe in 1932—have made a street flat! Lots of girls grew up with the ubiquitous ballet classes of uncomfy pink leotards. But even those who haven’t will get excited about these. Because they are not uncomfy OR pink! In fact they’re pretty hot. Take a look:
P.S. Get them at shopbop.
